Do you associate your workplace with an epidemic? The word ‘epidemic’ might bring to your mind diseases such as Flu or HIV which I’m certainly not talking about. Think Of yawning for instance. There’s nothing more infectiously contagious as yawning at your workplace.esp if you are seated comfortably in a cozy office chair in an air conditioned room. Yawning is surprisingly powerful. Just by reading the four yawns used till this point you probably will yawn in the next few minutes, if not already.

In case you are reading this at your office, and that you’ve just yawned, chances are that all nearby are going to yawn, and probably a good proportion of those sitting next to those just yawned, are  also going to yawn and it goes on and on. Now, that’s what I call an epidemic.

Even now while I’m writing I’ve already yawned so many times that I’ve lost the count.

Now did you just yawn while reading this? Please drop by and share your wonderful experiences with yawning.

“Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.”
― Mother Teresa

Here is a poem about why not to marry an engineer.Kudos to the poet.

Verily, I say unto ye,
marry not an engineer.
For an engineer is a strange being
and possessed of many evils.

Yea, he speaketh always in parables
which he calleth formulae.
He wieldeth a big stick
which he calleth a slide rule.
And he hath only one bible,
a handbook.

He thinketh only of strains and stresses,
and without end of thermodynamics.
He showeth always a serious aspect
and seemeth not to know how to smile.
He picketh his seat in a car by the springs thereof
and not by the damsels.

Neither does he know a waterfall
except by its horsepower,
Nor a sunset
except that he must turn on the light,
Nor a damsel
except by her weight.

Always he carrieth his books with him,
and he entertaineth his sweetheart with steam tables.
Verily, though his damsel expecteth chocolates when he calleth,
She openeth the package to discover samples of iron ore.

Yea, he holdeth her hand
but to measure the friction thereof,
and kisseth her
only to test the viscosity of her lips,
for in his eyes shineth a far away look
that is neither love nor longing,
but a vain attempt to recall formulae.

Even as a boy, he pulleth a girl’s hair
but to test its elasticity.
But as a man,
he deviseth different devices.
For he counteth the vibrations of her heartstrings
And seeketh ever to pursue his scientific investigations.

Even his own heart flutterings
he counteth as a measure of fluctuation.
And his marriage is but a
simultaneous equation involving two unknowns.
And yielding diverse results.

Verily, I say unto ye,
marry not an engineer.

ImageWith almost 2 lakh people around, it’s nice to see Congress in agressive mode. batting like sehwag. fearless against opposition. doing their stipulated work. good luck to them if they remain in the same mode and do some constructive work for the common man.

1.Monthly RIP Day

All these ages we’ve been having two days off at work and five days regular work. To be true to the Principle of Equality,I would suggest at-least 3 off days instead of two.Now if that’s going to kill the economy, make it 3 days off per week at least once in every month!!So that’s 12 extra Off days per year. Isn’t that awesome??

Now ,I would name this day monthly Rip day,to die away from job routines and to rest in peace for three days at a stretch.

2. Change your career Day

This would be an excellent idea to gain expertise in various careers. The whole idea is to trade jobs for a particular day without actually messing up either of them.

3.National Charity Day

I’m serious about this one.It would be of immense help if we all could set aside one days salary for the poor and needy in our society.Corporate Companies could raise large amounts this way by asking their employees to observe a charity day.I would be greatly satisfied if my earnings can a make a difference in that person’s life when he needs it.

This is written over my fury over the wild allegations by the IAC and specifically the damage that it creates to India Inc in the international scene. Mr.Kejriwal & the IAC have come out with stunning exposes over the last two months starting from that of Sonia Gandhi’s son in law, Robert Vadra to BJP president, Nitin Gadkari. Between they also made a pathetic attempt to expose Salman Khurshid, Foreign Affairs Minister for alleged misuse of funds, which in my opinion was hardly based on any evidence provided by the IAC.

The whole issue of Salman Khurshid was bought out by the India Today news team and I don’t understand what role the IAC played other than attacking Mr. Khurshid personally. It seems that IAC is using issues that were in the public domain for a while for its political standoff against the BJP and Congress. IAC, which started off as a noble idea against corruption in the political system is now a political party. I wouldn’t be surprised if they make such sweeping allegations against the ruling party and the main opposition.IAC is critical of the political system in India, the judiciary and the people who voted Congress into power.
